Safeguarding
Safeguarding refers to protecting a person’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
Legislation such as the Care Act means you must understand and develop your workforce to prevent abuse and to recognise and respond effectively to safeguard adults at risk and improve outcomes for all persons who need care and support. Safeguarding children and child protection guidance and legislation applies to all children up to the age of 18.
Under current guidelines, all organisations that work with children, young people and adults at risk have a duty to safeguard and promote their welfare. Our Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk training course is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been designed to provide the valuable skills and knowledge required to ensure employees can competently carry out their roles and responsibilities relating to safeguarding.
This two-day course is ideal for those who have a responsibility for safeguarding and protecting in environments such as the NHS, education, healthcare, social services and those who work in voluntary positions. Covering all of the key aspects of safeguarding, such as current guidelines and legislation, different forms of abuse, responding to disclosure and suspected abuse as well as support mechanisms for those working in care and following abuse.
