Fire Safety

Fire safety arrangements should be reviewed regularly to ensure that they are suitable and sufficient to control the risk of fire.  Measures should include arrangements to ensure;

  • Fire alarms and detection systems are working and tested.

  • Fire risk assessment is regularly reviewed by a competent person and update who changes occur to layout, processes or people

  • Fire extinguishers are serviced and in the correct locations.

  • Fire blankets are located in kitchens.

  • Escape routes are clear and well-marked.

  • Fire Doors are operable and not propped open.

  • Evacuation plans are current and communicated to all staff

  • Fire drills are conducted routinely.

  • Training is up to date for staff with appointed and trained fire marshals

  • Signage is clearly visible and meets regulations

  • Fire logbook containing records of alldrills, alarm tests, extinguisher checks, etc
